Creo en bastantes cosas,
casi ninguna es elevada.
Creo en esta línea que lees de izquierda a derecha.
Creo en el sueño reparador.
Del ser humano, en verdad, desconfío,
pero mantengo la fe en las bromas de los amantes,
en sus suspiros y gemidos,
en los muros palpables,
y en los corazones frágiles.
La mentira de la certidumbre
envuelve la verdad mentirosa:
lo que yo un día sentí,
puede que un día tú sientas…
Creo sin duda en la duda:
el azar tiene razón,
pendemos de un hilo
que nadie tiene asido.
Creo en el sudor, en la mano de obra,
en el fuego de la injusticia,
en el aullido del hombre-lobo,
en el ángel de la guarda.
Y creo, al fin, en el cielo sobre Berlín…
Creo en las excepciones,
en los momentos extraños,
en las miradas que la noche desprende
como si se tratase de frutos raros.
Mi fe descansa, ante todo,
en lo profundo de tu piel.

Je crois en beaucoup de choses,
mais pas dans les choses supérieures.
Je crois en cette ligne qu’on lit de gauche à droite.
Je crois au sommeil réparateur.
Je ne crois pas trop en l’humain, pour dire vrai,
mais j’ai foi dans les blagues des amants,
dans leurs soupirs et leurs gémissements,
dans les murs palpables,
et dans les cœurs fragiles.
Le mensonge de la certitude
enveloppe la vérité mensongère :
ce que j’ai un jour ressenti,
tu pourrais aussi le ressentir…
Je crois sans aucun doute dans le doute :
le hasard a raison,
nous ne tenons qu’à un fil
dont personne n’a de prise.
Je crois à la sueur, au travail manuel,
dans le feu de l’injustice,,
dans le hurlement du loup-garou,
dans l’ange gardien,
et je crois, enfin, au ciel au-dessus de Berlin.
Je crois aux exceptions,
aux moments rares,
dans les regards que détache la nuit
comme s'il s'agissait de fruits rares.
Ma foi repose avant tout
sur le plus profond de ta peau.
